Forest Upcycling Project began with a simple mission: to reduce waste, support local people, and make essential household items affordable for everyone. As a registered charity, we started collecting unwanted furniture and electrical items, giving them a second life through refurbishment and resale.

We opened our first store in Cinderford, creating a community space where unwanted items could find new homes. From the beginning, our focus has been on protecting the environment, supporting local people, and making affordable household essentials accessible to all.

As our work grew, we opened our second store in Chepstow, allowing us to rescue more reusable items and reach more people. This expansion strengthened our commitment to reducing landfill waste while creating opportunities for skills development and employment.

Our journey continued with the opening of our third store in Cwmbran. Across all three locations, we proudly support and employ disabled and vulnerable individuals, providing training, valuable work experience, and pathways into employment.

Forest Upcycling Project is now proud to operate as a linked charity with Think Upcycle CIC. Together, we support reuse, upcycling, skills development, and sustainable community projects, extending our environmental and social impact both in the UK and internationally. 

Today, we continue to transform lives and reduce waste through our three community stores. Every donation, purchase, volunteer hour, and financial contribution helps us protect the environment, support vulnerable people, and build stronger communities. As we look to the future, we remain committed to making a lasting difference, one item and one life at a time.
